On 29 January 2016, Consul-General Dusit Manapan hosted a dinner for members of the Thai Club of Japan, which is a network of Japanese who are friends of Thailand. The Thai Club of Japan, with Professor Emeritus Osamu Akagi of Osaka University as its president, has carried out activities, including Thai language teaching, organizing seminars on matters related to Thailand, and educational and cultural exchanges between Thailand and Japan to enhance the ties of friendship between Thailand and Japan for about 25 years.
