12th Thai Festival in Nagoya

On 4 June 2016, Deputy Consul-General Chanida Kamalanavin attended the 12th Thai Festival in Nagoya, held during 4-5 June 2016 at Hisaya Odori Park, Nagoya.
The main theme of this year’s Thai Festival in Nagoya is “Tanoshisa Kitai Ijyo” or “Enjoyment beyond Expectation”. In the Festival, there were booths selling Thai food, products and services an an exhibition booth on the occasion of H.M. Queen Sirikit’s 84th Birthday Anniversary. There were several activities on the main stage including Thai cultural performances, and performances by Thai and Japanese artists. Thai community could also receive mobile consular service organized during the Festival.
Thai Festival in Nagoya is an important cultural event in Aichi prefecture organized by a foreign country to promote cultural exchange with Japan. This activity has helped enhanced Thailand-Japan bilateral relations, especially at people-to-people level.
