On Sunday 6 August 2017, Deputy Consul-General Naruchai Ninnad delivered opening remarks at the “Suk Wanchai Muay Thai Super Fight” event at Nagoya Congress Centerin Nagoya. The event was attended by large numbers of Japanese Muay Thai lovers.
In his opening remarks, the Deputy Consul-General emphasized the longstanding close and cordial relations between Thailand and Japan as this year marks the 130th Anniversary of Thailand-Japan Diplomatic Relations. In this connection, the “Suk Wanchai Muay Thai Super Fight” event could represent an aspect of the rich cultural exchanges between Thai and Japanese peoples who have enjoyed 600 years of historical ties.
On this occasion, the Deputy Consul-General invited Japanese Muay Thai practitioners and enthusiasts to participate in the World Wai Kru Muay Thai Ceremony which is organized in March each year in the historic city of Ayutthaya.
