On 8 October 2017,Consul-General Munin Paniswasdi attended and delivered hisopening remarks at the 2nd Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyoto organized by Japan-Thailand Educational Exchange Society (JTEES) at Kyoto International Community House. Main objectives of the Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyoto areto strengthen Thailand-Japan relations through cultural exchange activities and to join in celebrating the 130th Anniversary of Thailand-Japan Diplomatic Relations. Mr. Shuichi Yamauchi, Vice Governor of Kyoto Prefecture, also attended the event. This year,Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyotoreceived around 20,000 attendees.
A variety of Thailand-Japan related activitieswere offered at the Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyoto, for example Thai and Japanese cultural performances on stage and booths selling Thai and Japanese food and products. Several attendees were impressed by Thai fruit and vegetable carving demonstration as well as Thai flower arrangement demonstration organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General.
The organization of the Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyoto enjoyed generous support from Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture and Team Thailand in Osaka.
