On 29 October 2017, Consul-General Munin Paniswasdi attended and delivered the opening remarks at the Annual Forum of the Thai Club of Japan on “Why Thailand Charms Us “Tham-Bun -- People’s Wish”” at Saji Keizo Memorial Hall, Osaka University Nakanoshima Center. The Forum was moderated by Professor Dr. Osamu Akagi, President of the Thai Club of Japan. About 130 participants attended the event.
 In his opening remarks, the Consul-General emphasized the 600 years ofcontact between Thailand and Japan and the celebration of the 130th Anniversary of Thailand-JapanDiplomatic Relationson 26 September 2017. The Consul-General commended members of the Club for carrying out various activities to strengthen the ties of friendship between Thailand and Japan. The Forum on Thailand-related topicsorganized by the Thai Club of Japan has enabled Japanese people who are interested in Thailand to have a better understanding about Thailand.        
    The Thai Club of Japan isa network of Japanese people who love Thailand. It has carried out activities to enhance the friendship between Thailand and Japan for over 25 years, including Thai language teaching, organizing seminars on matters related to Thailand, and organizing educational and cultural exchange activities between Thailand and Japan.
