Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka Aims to Promote Cooperation in Medical Technology with Osaka Prefecture 
    On 22 November 2017, Mr. Munin Paniswasdi, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Ichiro Matsui, Governor of Osaka, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.  During the discussion, both sides cherished close and cordial ties between Thailand and Japan which this year marks the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
    Consul-General Paniswasdi expressed his readiness to promote more cooperation between Thailand and Osaka Prefecture, especially in the field of advanced medical technology, including elderly care facility, which Osaka Prefecture has potential strength and is one of the targeted industries focused in Thailand 4.0 development plan.  On this matter, Governor Matsui expressed his support and willingness to welcome Thai medical teams and researchers to Osaka Prefecture for the training and study visit at its medical centers, e.g. Osaka International Cancer Center, where  one of the most advanced medical technologies related to cancer therapy in Japan is provided , and elderly care facilities.
