Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka Pays a Courtesy Call on Governor of Kyoto 
    On 21 November 2017, Mr. Munin Paniswasdi, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Keiji Yamada, Governor of Kyoto, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.  During the discussion, Consul-General Paniswasdi expressed his readiness to promote bilateral relations between Thailand and Kyoto Prefecture.  Governor Yamada supported Consul-General's intention and added that he wishes to push forward the cooperation between Kyoto Prefecture and Chiangmai Province which has made satisfactory progress recently.  
    Kyoto Prefecture and Chiangmai Province just signed the Letter of Intent on the Establishment of Collaboration Framework on Smart City Projects on 28 September 2017.  The newly signed document is aimed at promoting bilateral relations between the two local governments and their peoples, economic and trade relations and cooperation in Smart-City related digital technologies.
