On 2 August 2019, Mr. ChatupotPiyamputra, Governor of Ranong Province, led a delegation comprised of President of the Chamber of Commerce of Ranong Province and the private sector to pay a courtesy call on Mr. KritTankanarat, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, on the occasion of the latter’s visit to Japan from 1 - 5 August 2019 to strengthen relations with Wakayama Prefecture located in the Kansai region, as well as to publicize the potential of the Province in terms of medical tourism via the use of mineral water in recovery and rehabilitation and the Ranong Deep Water Seaport as the trade gateway to the East. On this occasion, Consul-General Krit was pleased to see relations at the local level between the two provinces.  Ranong Province is considered an alternative destination for Japanese tourists to have more choices in tourism and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka stands ready to assist in publicizingRanongProvince to the Japanese general public.
