On 5 December 2019, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka organized the Reception on the occasion of The National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, The Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Thailand’s Father’s Day at Imperial Hotel Osaka. On this occasion, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, delivered the welcoming remarks, Mr. Keiji Okamoto, Director-General of the Department of Civic and Cultural Affairs, as Representative of the Governor of Osaka Prefecture, delivered the congratulatory speech and Mr. Jota Yamamoto, Representative of the Government of Japan and Ambassador in charge of Kansai gave a toast speech. The reception was well-attended by over 400 people, including Consuls-General and members of the Kansai Consular Corps, representatives from the Japanese local governments and private sectors in the Kansai and Shikoku regions, local press and media, members of Team Thailand in Osaka as well as Thai citizens residing in the Kansai and Shikoku regions. Activities included the Thai classical dance and music performances, the carving of Thai fruits and vegetables as well as the serving of authentic Thai food from the Royal Thai Consulate-General and local Thai restaurants in Osaka.
