On 17 December 2019, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, visited the Faculty of International Studies, Tenri University, Nara Prefecture to observe the Thai language class of Professor Koji Nozu, toured the University campus and met with exchange students from Thailand. On this occasion, Mr. Noriaki Nagao, Dean of Tenri University, hosted a luncheon in honour of the Consul-General.
At present, 8 students are enrolled in the Thai language class at Tenri University. Tenri University also has student exchange cooperation with Rajabhat Chiang Mai University and Mahasarakham University in Thailand.
