Representatives of the Managing Board of Kobe Marathon pay a courtesy call on Deputy Consul-General

On 19 December 2019, Mr. Kohei Fujimoto and Ms. Maiko Hasegawa, representatives of the Managing Board of Kobe Marathon, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Deputy Consul-General, at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka to present the “Certificate of Thanks and Appreciation” to the Consulate-General for the support towards the 9th Kobe Marathon held on 17 November 2019 . On this occasion, the Deputy Consul-General thanked the Board for giving the opportunity for the Consulate-General to participate in the said event and showed readiness to lend support to future Kobe Marathon activities.
Kobe Marathon is an important annual event of Kobe, attracting a large number of runners from Kobe, other cities in Japan and overseas. The 9th Kobe Marathon held this year is of particular importance, marking the 25th Anniversary of the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Kobe in 1995. Organized under the theme “Thank and Friendship”, the event held this year is to show thanks and appreciation to all involved in the assistance and recovery of Kobe. More than 20,000 people, including two representatives from the Consulate-General, participated in the 42.195 kilometres run this year.
