President of Nihon Wasougakuen calls on the Consul- General

On 20 January 2020, Mrs. Hiroko Matsushima, President of Nihon Wasougakuen, the kimono dressing institute, called on Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, on New Year occasion. Mrs. Matsushima reported on the preparation of the Kimono Festival Thailand 2020 & Muay Thai Art, co-organized with the Thailand-Japan Friendship Association (Kimono), to be held on 15 February 2020 at Rama Garden Hotel in Bangkok. The purpose of the event is to have cultural and sports exchange between the two countries, whereby a delegation of 70 teachers and students from Nihon Wasougakuen branches throughout Japan will travel to Thailand to showcase their kimono costumes while the Thai side will demonstrate the art of Thai boxing by male and female Thai boxers. Nihon Wasougakuen organized the kimono costume show in Thailand in 2007 on the occasion of the 120th Anniversary of Thailand-Japan Diplomatic Relations.
