Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka hosts luncheon for Thai students

On 16 February 2020, Consul - General Krit Tankanarat hosted a lunch get-together for Thai students in the Kansai and Shikoku regions at the Thai Residence. Mr. Pitchapon Jirawongsapan, President of the Thai Students’ Association in Japan under the Royal Patronage and a Tokyo University student, led 14 undergraduate and postgraduate students from various universities in the Kansai and Shikoku regions, namely Osaka University, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Kyoto University, Mie University, Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Kobe University and Ritsumeikan University (Shiga Prefecture) to join the event. On this occasion, Consul-General Krit enquired the Thai students about their studies and living conditions in Japan, as well as informed them about the Consulate-General’s consular services and the intention of the Consulate-General to support activities of the students. He also praised the students for their roles in supporting the activities of the Consulate-General and believed that they will be important assets for Thailand upon graduation in the future.
